Would you believe us if we told you that more than 8,300 people died in 2012 as a result of something directly related to alcohol use? Approximately 63% of those deaths in England and Wales were directly attributed to alcoholic liver disease. Even more alarming is the fact that 16% of the deaths occurred in people between the ages of 55 and 59. That is too young to die by any measure.
